Discoverability Shouldn't Be a Luxury: Why Great Businesses Stay Invisible

Discoverability Shouldn't Be a Luxury
Every day, incredible businesses open their doors.
They serve great coffee. They prepare amazing food. They solve real problems. They care deeply about their customers.
And yet, many of them remain invisible.
Not because they're bad. Not because they don't work hard. Not because they don't deserve to succeed.
They're invisible because people simply can't find them.
Somewhere along the way, we've accepted the idea that being discoverable online has become something only businesses with large marketing budgets can afford.
I don't accept that.
I believe every business, whether it's a family-owned restaurant, a plumber, a guest house, a boutique, or a local coffee shop, deserves the opportunity to be found.
Discoverability shouldn't be a luxury.
It shouldn't belong only to the businesses that can spend R10,000, R20,000 or R50,000 every month.
-It should be accessible.
-Affordable.
-Achievable.
That's why I'm becoming obsessed with one question: Why do great businesses stay invisible?
Not because I want to argue about marketing. Not because I want to criticise SEO. Those things have their place.
But I think we've been asking the wrong question.
Instead of asking, "How do I market my business?" Maybe we should first ask... Can customers actually find my business?
Because before someone can become your customer... they have to discover you.
That's the conversation I want to have. Not once. Every day.
Because I believe something with my whole heart: Businesses don't fail because they're bad. Too often, they fail because they're invisible.
And I think that's something worth fixing.
